Is A Healthy Body Really A healthy mind!

Brain Training The New Fix!

How many of us train our bodies or do some sort of physical activity, our 20 mins a day to adhere with government guidelines or an hour in the gym every night to satisfy our own needs. Deep down we all want to both feel good and look good in equal measure. The need for physical dominance of 1000's of years has clearly shaped the way we think about our bodies, whether that is to protect or attract.

But in this day and age where physical dominance is almost obsolete, why are we still not training our brains?
We hear people say 'the brain is the biggest muscle.' clearly there isn't any muscle in the brain.

However there is a strong argument that just like our bodies, our brains need to be nurtured if we want them to function at their highest level for long periods of time. Which has seen the rise of brain training applications and heavily funded research into brain training. Brain training is believed to stimulate inactive parts of the brain.

So why are we not spending 20 minutes a day training our brains, doing the best we can to lower the chances of any cognitive impairment later in life. I wonder if as young adults, we were told to take care of our minds we would, and what the benefits would be.

At trusted Local care we believe that prevention is always better than cure and we pride ourselves in helping people live the best life they can.
